The Moorpark College Library illuminated for the first ever Holiday Lights celebration in 2011.
Winter comes early to Moorpark College on Dec. 7. The Moorpark College library will illuminate the campus at 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 to kick off Moorpark’s Holiday Lights event.
At the lighting ceremony, string lights will illuminate the library. With a donation, supporters of Holiday Lights can sponsor a single bulb or an entire window framed with lights.
In addition to a lighting ceremony, the event will feature a silent auction, wine and hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle in the library. A $55 ticket will also guarantee VIP seating at the Moorpark College Holiday Music Concert.
Prior to the event, the EATM program will host its Arctic Lights event from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Arctic Lights will feature real snow, animal shows, and children’s activities. Admission for Arctic Lights is $6 for kids and seniors, and $8 for adults.
Tickets can be purchased online at the Moorpark College website.
