Wednesday night’s home Men’s Basketball game against the Los Angeles Pierce Brahmas, Jan. 10, was a back and forth affair which came down to the final 0.6 seconds.

After a late Raider missed 3-point attempt, there was only 0.6 seconds left on the clock and the Brahmas had the ball. The score was tied 83-83 and overtime was a likely scenario, but when the Brahmas inbounded the ball, they threw it out of bounds. This gave Moorpark possession underneath the basket that they needed to score on. Following timeouts by both teams, The Raider’s Cole Micek, lined up underneath the basket to inbound the ball. Once Micek had the ball in his hands, all of the Raiders tried to get open.

The Raider’s Elijah Holts was able to get open and cut right down the key to the basket Micek then threw a lob to Holts, who was able to catch it and lay the ball up towards the hoop before the clock expired. The ball hit the back of the rim and then fell through the hoop to give the Moorpark Raiders a 85-83 victory over the L.A. Pierce Brahmas.
