Former Moorpark athletes work their way up to the United States Football League

The United States Football League held their inaugural player draft from February 22-23. Two players that were selected in this draft were defensive back Jalin Burrell, and wide receiver Ray Bolden. Both former Moorpark College athletes were drafted by the Michigan Panthers.

Moorpark Crushes Cuesta 77-36 in Home Finale

On Wednesday, Feb. 16 the Moorpark Women’s Basketball team returned home to face Cuesta in a divisional matchup. Moorpark would handily control Cuesta on both ends, beating them 77-36.

Moorpark men’s basketball loses in heartbreaking fashion against Cuesta

In Moorpark’s final home game of the year, they took on Cuesta College. Moorpark was looking for vengeance in this matchup, as earlier in the season Cuesta took the 94-90 victory against them.

Opinion: Performance-Enhancing Drugs leaves Bonds and Clemens out of the Hall of Fame

The Baseball Hall of Fame vote has once again come in 2022. In his first year of eligibility, David Ortiz was the only player selected with a voting percentage of 77.9%. In their final year of eligibility, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens did not receive the required 75% votes needed to be elected to the Hall.

New Faces, new places; NBA trade deadline sees lots of blockbuster moves

The NBA Trade Deadline for the 2021-2022 season has passed, and with its passing teams have made moves to change their rosters for the better whether it be for this season or for the seasons to come. This year's trade deadline was far busier compared to past years; there were a total of 16 trades since Feb. 4, 2022.

Super Bowl LVI Recap

On Sunday, Feb. 14, 2022, the annual Super Bowl took place featuring the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. The heart-racing game was located in Inglewood, California in the newly built SoFi Stadium. Considering this was going to be Cincinnati's first Super Bowl appearance since 1988, many fans were on the edges of their seats anxiously watching and waiting for the outcome.
