Persian New Year kicks off on March 20th, celebrated by Iranians across the world. Every year on March 20th, Iranians across the world celebrate Persian New Year, which is also known traditionally as Nowruz.

Associated Students of Moorpark College propose pay for student leadership

On Tuesday March 9, 2021 the Associated Students of Moorpark College, hosted their weekly meeting. During this meeting, Director of Finance, Marina Bayless, led a presentation with reasons why associated students should get paid.

Moorpark College’s writing center is providing more than just traditional tutoring

America’s Teaching Zoo continues to thrive one month after reopening with 8 new animals

America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College reigned in the new year with many new additions, including eight new animals and the reopening of the zoo. The zoo closed in December due to the increase in COVID-19 cases. Recently, the zoo was cleared to open back up to the public.

Local fashion student uses streetwear brand to make a difference in the community

Local fashion design student Rae Dominick discusses the challenges of running a business during a pandemic. During the early stages of the pandemic, many dreams were put on hold for people all over the world. However, Simi Valley resident Raelyn Dominick used her passion to help others. Kichi Designs, Dominick's clothing line, made face masks for friends who were required to wear them for work and sold them on their website.

Club Rush goes virtual for the Spring 2021 semester due to hybrid classes

This past Saturday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1, the America's Teaching Zoo of Moorpark College hosted their annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo. After last year's cancellation due to the fires, the zoo was pleased to be able to host the event in person this year.
