Although it’s starting to cool off in most parts of the country, here in Southern California things are starting to heat up. A swift retreat into a heavily air-conditioned house is sounding pretty good, right? I know I think so!
But even in this detestable heat, it’s important to stay active and get out of the house now and then. Personally, my favorite way to do this is to head down to the beach. You can go Kayaking, running, swimming, surfing, boogie boarding: there are lots of options. The pool is another great place to keep active without overheating. Get your friends to join you.
My pals and I had a blast the other night playing our version of “Water Polo” with a volley ball. Do you have a pet dog? Have them join you in your pursuit of exercise. It’s much cooler in the morning. So wake up a little early and take your pup for a jog before school.
Did you like my beach Idea? Take your pooch down to Silverstrand Beach in Oxnard, bring a ball and watch him roll around in the waves.
