In a particularly interesting presentation, Linda Loiselle screened “Sick Around the World,” a presentation featuring varied health care systems from countries including Germany, Taiwan, Japan and Switzerland.
The film was very much a “call to arms” to all citizens of the United States for a fundamental health care reform.
What these exceedingly different countries shared was their sophisticated approach to providing health care for their citizens, an issue pressing down on the shoulders of every able-minded American citizen.
“We are the only country in the world with our standard of living that does not have universal health care” concluded Loiselle, with an air of finality and urgency.
