Students learned constructive job searching skills in Dezzie Prewitt’s presentation, “Earning a Living: How to Find Employment During a Recession”.
His focus on “economic superstars” like Oprah Winfrey, Lebron James and Bill Gates formed the basis of his ideology, which specified investing time in customer service related job fields rather than unskilled, manual labor.
“The key to being an economic superstar is a balance of talent and charisma,” reiterated Prewitt, drawing a direct parallel from job success to one’s ability to remain charismatic in all professional situations.
For those interested, the annual Moorpark College Job and Career expo will take place Tuesday, April 21, from 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the campus quad.
