Dear Editor,
In the presentations leading up to the NCSL trip the ASVC board was informed that all those on the board that had participated in the Washington DC trip the previous year would be exempt from going period.
This was agreed upon by everyone as it seemed to be rather excessive to send the same people across the country twice.
Apparently this was changed last minute by the executive board, so that the president and treasurer of the ASVC board were in fact able to go, thus violating the previous arrangement.
This last minute decision was not brought to the attention of the entire board before the action was carried out and still has not been brought up after the fact.
This is very upsetting as it virtually renders our voting as an entire ASVC board useless because it can apparently be overruled by a select few.
I hope that this subject will at least be brought to the attention of all board members though I truly feel a formal inquiry into this and other actions carried out by the ASVC executive board should be made.
Thank you very much,
