The Exotic Animal Training and Management, EATM, are hosting their 18th annual Spring Spectacular Family Fun Festival.
This year, the theme is “A Fairy Tale” which gets incorporated into the scripted shows and overall layout of the Carnivore Carnival. The Festival is taking place over the next three weekends, March 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30. Admission will be $10 for adult and $5 for children and senior tickets. The festival will include animal shows, cougar presentations and for five extra dollars, a special VIP tour of the zoo will be given.
The animal shows bring the audience up close and personal to the exotic animals of EATM. Every hour, you could be eye to eye with different animals. The shows are at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. Cougar Presentations showcase the most interesting cats living in the zoo. Come learn all about them. There will be a show everyday at 3:00 p.m.
There are other activities outside of the zoo that fit the “fairy tale” theme, which was thought of by the graduating EATM class of 2008. There will be a kid’s zone full of games, prizes and even a giant slingshot to keep the young ones entertained if they tire of the animals. On March 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., KIIS FM 102.7 will be broadcasting live from Spring Spectacular 2008. Each one of events will be hosted by one specific group of EATM.
“The festival will benefit the EATM program,” said Kristen Adams, a member of EATM. “The animals are expensive!”
With this years spring spectaculars live music and prize giveaways, why not give it try. Bring the family one of these coming weekends and experience an exotic fairy tale.
