A panel of six transsexual students led a discussion on coping with sexual identities in college, in the workplace, and in their social spheres. Most members announced that they are currently receiving medical treatments, such as hormones, in order to undergo gender transition. Many also stated future plans to have surgery.
The members discussed the pros and cons of undergoing the transition. They expressed feeling liberated, but also relayed difficulties with getting a new driver’s license and acquiring a job.
