Students can earn admission to one of seven participating UC Schools by going through the UC Transfer Admission Guarantees program. Applications are due periodically throughout the year.
“I have been holding TAG workshops every week, which have had huge turnouts, discussing the ins and outs of TAG including the criteria required for each UC and also how to fill out the TAG application online,” said
The seven schools that are using the TAG program include UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara and UC Santa Cruz; school specific requirements can be found on Moorpark’s website under
TAG is not a requirement for acceptance into these schools, however, it is the only way to guarantee admission into one of these schools.
Many students are intrigued by the new program and find that TAG is the best way to get a head start on UC acceptance.
Karla Rodriguez, 18, Bio chemistry major, believes this program will strongly benefit the students interested in pursuing any one of the seven schools offered.
“Yeah of course, with that they can have more choices of what colleges they want to go to,” said Rodriguez.
Students should note that the TAG program does not replace any UC school’s application process. Even if you are given a transfer admission guarantee, you will still need to go through the regular application process for your UC.
