As part of the vast multicultural day at Moorpark College, Sharon Gibbs and Debbie Sargent from the MC Health Center will hold presentation about safe sex. This is the fourth year in a row that Gibbs has done this presentation.
“We’ve been told over and over again, it’s one of the best educational, entertaining programs students have seen at MC,” said Gibbs.
The presentation will focus on the top three STI’s for college students: HPV, herpes, and Chlamydia. Combined with very graphic images and a light upbeat voice, the presentation teaches students about the importance of safe sex.
“People need to be talking openly about sex. A person can be infected and not know it.” said Gibbs. “More individuals who are entering a new relationship, are either being tested together or strongly stating that they will each be tested. It is absolutely more necessary to communicate about sex than before.”
