Ventura College students will be showing off their creative sides in an upcoming student art exhibit.
The Associated Students of Ventura College (ASVC) will host a student art show on Friday, April 9. The event will be open to the public and will give students the opportunity to display their talents.
ASVC encourages anyone who has artwork or anything they consider art to participate in the event.
“Expect a lot of cool art and some interesting things,” said ASVC Peer Advisor Kadeem Coad. “There should be some clubs there hopefully fundraising. This event will open the Ventura College students to the arts.”
The student art show will exhibit the talents of various students with different styles and techniques.
The art show was originally scheduled for March 19, but there was not enough notice ahead of time, said Coad. As a result there was a shortage of art by students and ASVC decided to push the event back for April 9.
All student art must be submitted by March 24 in order to be considered in the show. The event will be held in the Tutoring Center on April 9.
