Ceramics students will be selling the fruits of their creative labors in the department’s semi-annual Ceramics Sale. The sale offers all different kinds of student made pottery that is both sculptural and functional.Ceramics Professor Gerry Zucca was proud of his students’ work. “The main thing you’ll see is the student’s creativity in what they come up with.””Most of the pottery is made by the ‘high-fire method’,” said Zucca. “This means the pottery can be used for eating, and can be put in the microwave or dishwasher.”The students priced their own work and 10% of their profit will go to the ceramics department.”I’m glad to sell my pottery because it benefits the department and it benefits me as a student,”said MC student Claire Shadduck. The sale will be held on May 3 and 4 from 9a.m. to 8 p.m. in the technology building’s ceramics studio, room T-114.
