Vintage car enthusiasts have the last chance of the year to show off their handiwork this weekend when Nitro Natty and Fast Freddie Promotions present the Ventura County Auto Swap Meet and Car Show.

This slick event will be held on Sept. 24, in Seaside Park, at the Ventura Fairgrounds, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.. On display will be pre-1975 American collector cars, street rods, muscle cars and customs.

The awards will be announced between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., and include Best in Show, People’s Choice, and Promoter’s Pick.

There is a $5 parking fee, and general admission is $6 per person, but children under 11 are free.

If you missed out on April’s show, keep in mind that there are only two each year, and September’s will be the last for 2005. Just take Highway 101 and the Seaward Ave. exit for some fun-in-the-sun.

“There will be hundreds of new and used items, and live music,” said Natalie Moore, Ventura County Auto Swap Meet and car show promoter.
