Snowboarders and skiers can gear up for the winter season this year by going to the ultimate snowboard and ski show at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Dec. 1-4 called Ski Dazzle.
Whether you need to buy a whole new kit, a few accessories, clothing items, or even want to just chat with fellow snow lovers, Ski Dazzle has it all and more.
Twenty-year-old Moorpark College student Patrick Sisco is a big fan of snowboarding and goes to Ski Dazzle every year.
“The event has everything a rider needs or wants at amazing prices,” said Sisco, “Having fun outdoors in the snow is what I enjoy the most.”
Ski Dazzle will have more than four football fields worth of bargains with hundreds of local, national and international exhibitors including over 85 resorts, ski and snowboard retailers, manufacturers, and more. This event is designed for all ranges of skill from beginner to expert.
According to skidazzle.com the 360 exhibit booths will offer everything that has to do with snowboarding. Items such as boards, boots, bindings, goggles, poles, skis, beanies, gloves, pants, and more will be sold at bargain prices found no where else. Equipment brands that will be sold are K2, Burton, Rossignol, Atomic, AirWalk, Lamar, Head, Oxygen, Dynastar, Clicker, Nordica, Lange, Salomon, Tyrolia, Elan, Tecnica, Marker and Look among others.
A sample of clothing and accessories brands that will be present are Airwalk, Quicksilver, Burton, Roxy, Swag, Prom, Twist, Nordica, Obermeyer, Billabong, Ripcurl, O’Neill, Scott, Columbia, and Spy & Zeal.
Ski Dazzle also gives the opportunity for snow lovers to sell their old equipment and recycle it. There is no charge to sell your stuff but a 21% commission charge will be made. Registering equipment is fast and easy at the event. Just bring any snowboard or ski related items to Ski Dazzle and register it at the event.
There will also be entertainment at the event which will entail high-energy Skateboard and In-Line Skate Champion Vert Ramp Shows on the Bear Mountain Vert Ramp, continuous free ski lessons on the giant Snow Summit Ski School ramp, a floor to ceiling climbing wall co-sponsored by Jeep and the Los Angeles Newspaper Group, the Jeep Tire Chain Installation Contest, and the Seminar and Celebrity Stage with over $30,000 of prizes given away.
“I love the way Ski Dazzle gets me pumped to join fellow boarders,” said Moorpark College student Amy Gradle, 20.
The most popular places for boarders and skiers to go for snow are Mountain High, Big Bear, Snow Summit, Mt. Baldy and Mammoth. With the limited amount of storms that have passed through California so far this season only Mammoth is currently open at this time. But storms are forecast to come bring snow to the other resorts within the next couple weeks says mthigh.com. Lift tickets vary from $30-$49 dollars depending on how many hours the ticket is for and what time of day it is purchased.
A free $49 Big Bear lift ticket will be included with admission at Ski Dazzle. Tickets can be purchased for $15 at skidazzle.com or at the event.
Ski Dazzle will be from Dec 1-4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center located on 1201 S. Figueroa Street in Los Angeles. The operating times are 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 2, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 3, and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 4. For more information go to skidazzle.com.
