Ventura women’s water polo continues to have great success this season.
They have a 10-12 record and are within reach of 2nd place in the Western State Conference.
They currently trail Cuesta College by four games for the second place position. However Ventura is out of reach of first place in the WSC this season which is currently contolled by powerhouse Citrus College, who has an amazing 14-3 record.
The Pirates will be heading into the Western State conference Championships which will begin on Nov. 4.
It is vital that the Pirates perform well in order to cement themselves into postseason competition.
The postseason will include the Socal Regionals and then the State Championships.
In order to have a chance at state, Ventura must get through a strong Citrus College team.
The WSC Championships will be held in Glendora and will give underdog Ventura a chance at a knocking off Citrus.
Ventura will need to limit mistakes in the water in order to contend in the playoffs.
