Moorpark College welcomes families and the community to learn more about the campus preschool at their Discovery Day fundraiser, which will take place this Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“I hope we get the word out,” said Child Development Center site supervisor Bonnie Baruch.
The preschool offers hands-on learning and gives students a taste of what the program has to offer, while bringing enjoyment to the children involved. It also gives the parents a chance to discover just how important the hands-on learning is for both the students and children.
According to Baruch, the event will include classroom tours, raffles, face-painting, and a scholastic book fair. Their will also be a re-sale boutique with children’s clothes, toys, and costumes,
With the children experiencing and enjoying the creative environment around them and with the students and parents learning more about Moorpark’s Child Development Program, it should prove to be a day worth discovering.
Tickets will be $8 for children 12 months to 8 years old, and $5 for adults and children over the age of 8.
