Moorpark College students looking for a hand-me-down textbook, jewelry, or fun little knick-knacks can look no further than the Student Organization’s second yard sale, which will take place on Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Raider Walk.

The yard sale has been a big semester event at Moorpark College since last spring, and is now becoming a way for clubs to reach out and connect with students, while also raising money to help fund their exciting activities.

“It’s pretty much going to be like a club-rush type of deal, but instead of having people sign up for the clubs, they’ll be buying things,” said Associated Students Director of Student Organizations Christine Anderson.

It is a great opportunity for students to get involved and help their fellow clubs as well as see what is for sale. Students who have clothes or other items that they would like to sell or just get rid of are welcome to donate to any club of their choosing for this semester’s yard sale.

The money raised by each club will go into their accounts to help pay for events they would like to host in the near or distant future.

All clubs that RSVP will be out on Raider Walk, and with several new buzz-worthy clubs on the campus this year, there will be lots to purchase and enjoy.
