Nothing says ‘the holidays’ more than baking and binge-eating easy to make cookies with loved ones. Hosting a holiday cookie-swap party is not only perfect for the season, but a great way to have an assortment of satisfying sugary goodness.
“My friends and I made a contest out of it,” said 22-year-old former Moorpark College student Monica Wheeler said. “Everyone challenged themselves and made some really great desserts.”
All that is required is for everyone to bring in their own batch of homemade cookies to share and discuss with the group.
For a fun twist, allow those friends who are baking beginners to bring store-bought cookies and have everyone try to guess which ones are home-made and which ones are out of the box.
For those in need of a recipe for such an event, or for those who are just cookie enthusiasts, here is a simple and tasty recipe the Student Voice invites everyone to try!
