Ventura County Community College District sent another email to all students announcing that the student in question did not have measles and so the possible measles exposure has been cleared.
This means that Moorpark students no longer need to be worried about having been contaminated on campus. However, measles is still a problem in surrounding areas.
Sharon Makanaas, the Student Health Center coordinator, said students should be precautions and take action.
“I would encourage you to continue to be proactive about checking your immunization records and making sure you have immunity,” said Manakas.
