The final performance of Moorpark College’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” will be Sunday, March 22 at 2 p.m.
The show offers students the opportunity to experience a traditional Shakespearean play with a more modern twist.
“A lot of people don’t touch Shakespeare because they think it’s too hard for them to understand,” said Megan Rackley, a 21-year-old theater major portraying the protagonist Beatrice. “For a community college to put on a production like Shakespeare so that students are exposed to it is important.”
A story posted on March 19 incorrectly said the matinee showing was free. In fact the free performances were held on March 17 and 18. The Student Voice regrets this error.
