Make sure you don’t forgot to file UC and Cal State applications before the Nov. 30 deadline.

The Cal State application period opened to students on Oct. 1 and the UC applications on Nov. 1. Both will remain open until the deadline on Nov. 30.

The Transfer Center will be offering their final Application Assistance Workshop on Nov. 17 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Make sure to RSVP at the Transfer Center for Tuesday’s event.

For additional last minute assistance, Moorpark College advisors, Donny Munshower and Lynn Hastings, will offer all-day drop in application assistance Monday, Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.and Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Moorpark College transfer advisor Wendy Berg weighed in on the importance of getting applications in and checking them thoroughly.

“It’s a good idea to have your application looked at even if you think that you have a pretty good sense of it because typically there’s some tricky things with the GPA,” said Berg. “That can all really throw students off, so it’s always a good idea to have another set of eyes even if students feel like they’re on the right track.”

Transfer statistics for Moorpark College students are high and this is your chance to prove your academic integrity. Get those applications in, take a breath, and finish out the semester strong.
