This week’s poll came to a close with some super results: out of 29 voters, 11 would choose to have the ability to fly if they could select a superpower.
It seems as if the world has been taken by storm by all the superhero personas and movies recently. The box office has definitely been hit with this trend, as the most recent superhero movie, Deadpool, came out last month and crushed previous records. According to Forbes, Deadpool earned itself the largest R-rated opening weekend of all time with $132.7 million.
Clearly, people are enjoying the action-packed fantasy that is being a super powered being. So, we asked Moorpark students which power they’d want to have and here are the results:
Coming in second with eight votes, 27 percent, was the power to control time.
Third place, with seven votes, 23 percent, was the power to move things with the mind, telekinesis,
Super speed came in fourth place with three votes, or 14 percent of the vote.
Super strength only received one vote, 3 percent, and invisibility didn’t get any votes coming in last place.
Keep an eye out for all the superhero movies coming out this year! The list includes: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, March 25, Captain America: Civil War, May 6, X-Men: Apocalypse, May 27, Suicide Squad, Aug. 8 and Doctor Strange, Nov. 4.
