This year’s Lady Raiders are a promising team comprised of almost all freshman and have been having an incredible season so far as they continue to bring their A game out onto the field.
With an impressive 10-3 record, they hold the top spot in the conference as they have their eyes set on a Western State Conference Championship.
Head Coach Dave Fox is thrilled with the hard work and dedication his team has been putting in so far this season as they are right where they want to be at this time of year.
“Each day we are getting more and more confident,” said Fox. “We are progressing perfectly so far.”
This season has been flying by for the Raiders who are already halfway done with their season and, according to Fox, the team intends to enjoy these memorable moments rather than letting it all pass by.
“We look forward to coming to practice and to all the games,” said Fox. “We are trying to enjoy all the moments by slowing it down and enjoying it a little.”
Each game has something special about it, but one moment in particular that stood out so far to freshman Julianne Rodriguez would be their first game of the season.
“The first home game it was our league opener that we won,” said Rodriguez. “Not only did I play well but we as a team played extremely well and it really lifted us.”
Teamwork is a crucial aspect of the game and the Lady Raiders have a young team that works together both effectively and efficiently.
“The way we gel together as a team is key to having a dominant season,” said freshman Jazmin Macias. “We all get along and most importantly we click.”
This hardworking team is determined to continue having the success they have had so far this season and anticipate many more wins ahead.
