University representatives come to campus
August 30, 2016
Various representatives from different universities will make their appearance on Raider Walk to answer questions Moorpark College students may have about each campus they come from what they each have to offer.
Students who are planning on transferring to a university will have the opportunity to attend Transfer Day on Thursday, Sept. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For Counselor Donny Munshower, this will be his second year coordinating the event and encourages students to attend.
“Students who are not in their final year, they don’t think about transferring,” said Munshower. “They put that off until the last year. If transferring is your goal, you should be researching universities, talking to university reps, and attending workshops we have here from day one.”
Some universities that will be at Transfer Day include University of Southern California, University of California Berkeley, California State University Northridge, University of California Los Angeles, University of California Santa Barbara, and about 45 more.
University admissions officers will also be available to students along Raider Walk to answer any questions regarding the universities.
One-on-one appointments with university representatives from University of Southern California, University of California Berkeley, California State University Northridge, University of California Los Angeles, and University of California Santa Barbara can be scheduled in the Career Transfer Center.
