Shane Douglas is a first-year student at Moorpark College double majoring in communication and global and public health. Shane has fostered skills in journalistic writing, graphical design, page layout and leadership through his prior experience as an Editor-In-Chief and Sports Section Editor for Westlake High School's The Arrow print and online newspaper. Shane hopes to emulate his willingness to learn by working on staff of the Moorpark Reporter. Although he does not entirely know what career route he wants to pursue, what is certain is that he wants to make an impact spreading kindness and helping others. He plans to transfer in the fall of the 2025-'26 school year to a four-year university. In his free time he enjoys distance running and improving his Spanish skills, especially at 11:55 PM when he is at risk of losing his Duolingo streak.
