On March 28, 2021 at 8:13 P.M. Ventura County Fire Department was called to the 11000 block of Broadway Road in Moorpark, CA for reports of a vegetation fire. When VCFD Engine 42 arrived on scene, they observed a row of eucalyptus trees engulfed in flames reaching 120 feet high.

In March 2020, the state of California decided to shut down all public schools with in person learning. In Ventura County, this occurred a couple of days before Spring Break.
