On April 14, California Governor Gavin Newsom held a press conference to discuss the transition from distance learning to in-person instruction as California schools reopen for learning at Shepherd Accelerated Elementary School in Roseland, California.
Moorpark College Athletics and all California community college athletic programs have been on hiatus since early March this year. When the program went dormant to competition, the athletic department was also budding with new life to create a safe and healthy environment for Raiders to compete once again, whenever that day comes.
Virtual learning has been tough on students of all ages. In March, the world was transformed into learning a new reality due to Covid-19. Many were faced with job-loss, wearing a mask and quarantining. One extremely big change was school being out and switching to virtual learning.
