Moorpark College Women’s Softball is adjusting to a new style of play this season and a new coach, going with a current record of 5-6 and an early 0-2 conference play record.
Kelly Lovato, head coach, is fresh from receiving Coach of the Year honors while coaching Royal High School for Ventura County.
The Raiders return key starters from last year squad in Brittany Gonzalez and Crystal Bingham.
Gonzalez has already hit for power, collecting homeruns this season with Bingham pitching exceptional well, recently with pitching 5 scoreless innings against Rio Hondo College.
After last season’s less than par season, the Raiders look to turn around their slow start this season and make vast improvements under new coach Lovato.
