Thursday nights in Ventura County just got groovier, thanks to an all-new hip hangout, Club Phoenix.
Happening every other week in Simi Valley, Club Phoenix brings around local DJ’s to spin their favorite tracks and serve the dance community.
With many sub-genres of electronic music being developed every year, Club Phoenix focuses on emerging genres including electro, dubstep, house and trance music.
“Electronic dance music is absolutely amazing,” said Danny Darkoski, one of the two leading owners of Club Phoenix. “The energy is an entirely new level and the message to spread peace, love, good vibes, and positive energy is beautiful.”
The idea started in March of 2010, when Darkoski and friend Brett Lewis decided to manifest their mutual passion for electronic music and their community by fostering the event at The Arena, a venue located in Simi Valley.
“You don’t have to love electronic music to come to Club Phoenix,” said Lewis, “You just have to love to dance because that is what you’ll want to do the whole time.”
What had started as an idea has now become a successfully popular event. In less than a year of its conception, Club Phoenix is now hosting events boasting over 300 attendees.
Afterglow Visual Productions also holds live-visual performances each night with their psychedelic art graphics synced to the music.
Club Phoenix is planning on re-opening their doors on Feb. 10 to conduct on one of their biggest events to date.
