Hello, and welcome to Oxnard College.

This campus offers an incredible environment in which to get involved, to find and express your voice and to learn amongst the most empowering faculty and inspiring peers. The Associated Student Government, or ASG at Oxnard College offers you the opportunity to improve your educational experience and your ability to accomplish your future endeavors.

You are an Associated Student by nature of your enrollment here on our campus, and as the Associated Student President for the 2009 Spring semester, I would like to invite you to make ASG your own. The question is, what will you do with this opportunity and the services provided to you?

ASG provides student resources, liaisons between students and administration, student representation on numerous college and district committees that affect your education, student representation in policy-making on a state and federal level, student involvement and much more.

All of these services are a result of ingenuity and drive from current and former OC students. On the same note, if you have an idea or vision you would like to see enacted on campus, Associated Student Government is the place to find the resources, support, and assistance to make it happen.

Our goal, however, is not just to provide more services but rather to make OC a better place to learn and thrive for all Condors. In this spectrum, our causes this semester range from opposing more budget cuts to creating a campus book rental program; from improving campus food services to increasing support for athletics and club activities.

We are comprised of students from all different ethnic, cultural, and social backgrounds, and this variety of experience makes our vision powerful.

Associated Student Government is here to empower you. Take the opportunity, the resources and the support from us, your fellow OC students, and make your Associated Student Government your own.
