The Oxnard College McNish Gallery will explore several concepts including religion, politics and sensuality in its new exhibition “Jim Webb: It’s About Time.”
Webb’s display will feature several mixed media works documenting the stages of his career from 1960 to the present, including large scale collages, paintings and other media.
“He makes art just for art’s sake,” said Christine Morla, Oxnard College art department chair. “There’s so much depth to his work.”
“It’s About Time” opened Sept. 30 and will be running through Oct. 28.
The McNish Gallery is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A reception for the artist will be held on Wednesday Oct. 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with an artist lecture at 4:30 p.m.
