Second year psychology major Colby Slypytch had a rocky beginning to his semester. “I came a half hour before my class started to find parking, but it was surprisingly really bad considering the new parking structure,” said Slypytch. “I had to park in overflow.”
Art major Emily Pinneri, began her 3rd year at Moorpark College relatively well today. “I only had one class in the morning. I got here early at 7:45am for my 8:30am class cause of parking.”
Ellie Loiacono, a second semester student and Environmental Science major, said the parking on the first day was less than ideal. “Parking was s—. I came an hour early and I was still late,” said Loiacono.
Second year history major Ryan Vincent’s semester had a bumpy beginning. “I got a parking ticket yesterday for parking in a staff spot, they were poorly marked.” However, overall he is excited to be at Moorpark. “There were a lot of people here yesterday but the teachers and staff were so helpful in being able to find my classes.”
Alyssa Davis, a first semester student at Moorpark, said her first day on campus was generally good. “It’s been fine,” she said. “Parking was crazy but I finally found a spot. It’s generally been good, been fun.”
