The Honors Club is a great club for students to join who want to participate in on and off campus events.
Although the club is not necessarily apart of the Honors Program, they do participate in things and have similar goals to the program. The Honors Club provides its members with extracurricular volunteer arrangements to ultimately gain opportunities and experiences through their club to better themselves, the community, and the people around them.
Saamia Khan, a second year computer science major, and a member of the Honors Club touched on the club’s main goal.
“It’s a really convenient way to help with internships,” said Khan. “Also to know about extra events that are happening [on campus].”
The Honors Club meets every second and fourth Monday of every month in HSS 238 at 4 p.m. and could email the 2014-15 Honors Club President, Akash Swami at [email protected] for any further information regarding the club.
