The annual talent show, Moorpark College Got Talent, which is sponsored by the Associated Students, was officially cancelled due to low interest levels and not having an adequate space on campus.
An official press release statement from Associated Students Vice President Mayra Contreras said that the talent show was cancelled for two main reasons: because of a lack of general interest from students on campus, as well as not having a place designated for student life.
“The Moorpark College Assoicated Students will continue to advocate for a remodeled Student Union in order to prevent conflicts such as this, as we would have our own space to support student life,” said Contreras.
The annual talent show was scheduled for April 9.
“We apologize for any inconveniences that this may have caused to those that were interested in participating,” said Contreras.
