The Associated Students’ election occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday, which named Ashley Rasmussen Moorpark College’s new AS president.

Rasmussen promised students more interaction with student government as well as increased on-campus activities and events, like coffee during finals week and ice cream socials.

“I can take that student input and it would allow me to work with students directly and to know what they want to see on campus,” Rasmussen said. “And I could actually have it happen.”

• Director of Student Services Leah Alicata.

The elected members begin their term in upcoming fall.
