The Student Ceramics and Art Sale, also known as “The Mother’s Day Sale” will provide students with a great opportunity to pick out gifts for their mothers, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Art students get to show off their talents by selling their unique pieces to the other students on campus. Not only will ceramic things like mugs, bowls, pitchers and vases be for sale, but studio art pieces like paintings, drawings, sculptures and photos will also be available to buy.

Julia Kuretski, a 21-year-old art major, said that the Art Sale is a great place to buy gifts for friends and family.

“It’s a chance to support the art department because it’s all one-of-a-kind pieces,” said Kuretski. “No piece is like another. It’s a chance to buy unique things that no one else will have!”

Kuretski said that the art department is expecting an exceptional turn out and is artistically prepared.

“There are six tables set up, double stacked, and they’re all filled,” stated Kuretski. “We probably have around 300-400 pieces of 2-D drawings, paintings, photography pieces and ceramics.”

The sale will be held on May 6 and 7 from 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. in the Applied Arts Building, room 124.
