Many working class individuals find themselves holding two or more jobs just to keep their feet on the ground. They people make nine dollars an hour and struggle to make ends meet for their families. The minimum wage is supposed to be a strong advocate of working class citizens but instead it favors big businesses who’s only care is that they are paying their most valuable employees as little as possible for their outstanding service.

The loyal workers are struggling and making nine dollars an hour at the end of a day can maybe only pay for dinner for their families. These people don’t want to fight for the pay they know they deserve because the realize that they are replaceable and they’re are hundreds of other waiting in line to take their job because they are desperately in need as well.

By continuously working to cover the bare necessities, these workers have no money left over to help circulate the economy. Raise the minimum wage.com states, “By boosting pay in the low-wage jobs on which more families are relying than ever, a stronger minimum wage will help restore the consumer spending that powers our economy and that local businesses need in order to grow. A robust minimum wage is a key building block of sustainable economic recovery.”

What we need is an economical boost to get out finances back on track

We may not be the only country that experiences minimum wages being the only pay offered, however there are many other countries that have found a way to fix the problem

Some places forces the CEO of a company to raise their employees wage based on how much they are making. If the head of the company is making double than last year he is required raise his staff’s hourly. In this set up, in order for the CEO to make more money, he must first compensate his employees, which I believe is a beautifully thought out concept and should be implemented all around the world.

Justice needs to have the backs of working Americans and raising the minimum wage will protect workers from abuse, enhance family life, give the economy a facelift, and be the grounds upon which the economy begins to see some sort of recovery.
