A Papa Johns food truck has arrived at Moorpark College. It will be in the quad outside of the student center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Moorpark College is also looking for a food truck with baked goods, sandwich and café services according to President Luis Sanchez.
“Our revenues are starting to climb back up so I thought it was time to bring back something that is really basic to campus life,” said Sanchez.
Students such as Shane Buncher, a 25-year-old undecided major, are happy to be able to get hot food on campus.
“I like it,” said Buncher. “It is convenient since there is no cafeteria.”
These food trucks are a temporary solution though. The college hopes to revitalize its cafeteria as soon as it has enough money.
“It [the cafeteria] is so dependent on finding a deep pocket source,” said President Sanchez.
For the short term, students can look forward to a hot dog food truck that will be coming next week.

I think more food trucks should be brought here. Grilled Cheese Food Truck was great, and if Street Kitchen, Okamoto Kitchen, Stuffed Crepe, and/or MainSqueezeLA were to be added, it would do a lot for the college and hungry students.
