Poll Results: Study techniques used by students

By Bridget Fornaro

There are several ways students study for their exams, so the Student Voice asked what some favorite test preparation techniques are.

Fifty-eight percent of Moorpark students study for assessments by note memorization and 29 percent by creating mnemonics and word associations.

Coming in third place, with 24 percent of the vote, students find that working in study groups are an effective way to learn the test material.

According to the poll, one of the least popular ways of studying for tests is using flashcards.

Lastly, nobody uses the ‘turning the notes into a story’ technique anymore.

Seventeen people participated in the poll from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.
