For those seeking a lavish movie experience, the Simi Valley Town Center just opened up a new theater complex called the Studio Movie Grill.

For some time, if a moviegoer in the Simi Valley or Moorpark area wanted to have a luxury movie and dining experience there were not many options available. Patrons were limited to the 21 and over section of Muvico in Thousand Oaks, or the Cinepolis luxury cinema out in Westlake.

“We were the very first theater in the USA to do a full menu and movie service,” said Greg Howard, General Manager at the new Simi Valley branch of Studio Movie Grill.

According to Howard the luxury movie theatre chain tries to offer an affordable luxury experience with movie tickets costing $12.75, a price competitive with other theaters in the area.

The movie theatre has nine auditoriums each equipped with 934 custom-built reclining chairs. Their menu has over 100 dishes with most items ranging from $6 to $14.50. Some of these items include coconut chicken bites, blackened chicken salad and meatball signature sliders. They also have a dessert menu that includes ice cream sundaes and nutella beignets to finish-off the meal.

For those over 21, alcoholic beverages such as wine, beer and cocktails can also all be ordered from their full-service bar as you enjoy your movie.

According to Howard, the cinema also offers deals on a regular basis including some for college students.

Right now they have a two for $25 deal, which includes one appetizer and two entrees.

The new theater complex is located at 1555 Simi Town Center Way, in the middle of the mall. For those looking for more information about tickets, show times, menu options or pricing please refer to the website at studiomoviegrill.com or call the Simi Valley Theater at 805-416-5339.
