Students of Moorpark College had their gradation and certificates approved by the Ventura County Community College District trustees at the Dec.12 board meeting.
The agenda item was a 5 to 0 vote by the VCCCD trustees and student trustee, with the motion by Trustee Arturo Hernandez and a second by Trustee Stephen Blum. This will allow 45 students to graduate and 47 to receive their certificates at the end of the fall semester, according to broad of trustees’ agenda.
“Hang in there, you’re half way there,” said Hernandez referring to the students taking the next step of their lives.
Hernandez said he is very proud of the students because many have been attending their community college during the difficult economic times, but now the economy is recovering, providing more opportunities.
“Keep your forces on your education,” said Hernandez.
