Representatives from state universities will be on campus to answer questions and give presentations to students for California State University Day on March 16.

Students interested in attending California State University, Northridge and Channel Islands can meet representatives along Raider Walk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and learn about programs, majors and even campus housing. At 1 p.m. there will be an hour of presentations in Fountain Hall to give students in-depth information about different programs.

“This is a great opportunity for a student who want to study business, child development or arts to talk to faculty about the school, internships, part-time jobs and what the programs [are] all about,” said Donald Munshower, the Career Transfer Center coordinator and counselor.

The English Department and Anthropology Department at CSUCI will have presentations, and divisions on dining services, student housing and education will be presenting for CSUN.

“That’s what’s different from years past is that we’re allowing them to do presentations,” Munshower said.

The universities will have dozens of majors and programs represented along Raider Walk, including business, psychology, music and liberal studies.

Crystal Cassese, psychology major, is looking to transfer in fall 2017 and plans to attend the event and the presentations in Fountain Hall.

“I’m hoping to get more insight about [CSUCI’s] psychology program and learn more about their campus,” Cassese said.
