Last week, the Student Voice asked its readers which presidential candidate they agree with most and Donald Trump won the majority of the vote with 38 percent.
One of the things Donald Trump is most admired for is “saying it how it is” despite the fact he is rarely consistent.
In second place came Bernie Sanders with 30 percent of the vote. Sanders is the most liberal candidate. His primary goal in his campaign platform is to take power away from Wall Street.
Ted Cruz came next with 7 percent of the vote. Cruz is the most conservative candidate running and currently stands behind Trump in the republican primary. Cruz’s campaign platform includes securing American borders and the second amendment right to bear arms.
Next came John Kasich and Hillary Clinton in respective order. Kasich got 10 percent of the vote and Clinton got 8 percent. Kasich represents the moderate side of the Republican primaries and is the governor of Ohio. He has been an elected official for over 26 years.
Despite the fact Clinton got the least votes, she still remains the front runner in the Democratic primaries. Some of the items in her campaign platform include making community colleges free and imposing more gun control on America.
