Associated Students intends to showcase student talent by hosting a talent festival right here on campus.
This free talent festival will take place April 23 at the quad stage in front of the LMC building and will begin at 5 p.m. with food and music, and will continue at 7 p.m. with performances from students.
“The purpose of this event is to showcase Moorpark talent in the form of an outdoors talent show with a festival vibe,” said President Julie Gonzalez in an email. “My team is currently aiming to channel Coachella vibes and atmosphere.”
Students who attend can expect food trucks, music and even student organizations tabling at the event, said Gonzalez.
Those performing in the talent show can look forward to prizes provided by the A.S.
“I’ve heard many students say how there is never anything for the students on campus like other colleges put together, which is why I started this event,” said Gonzalez. “I hope there will be a good outcome.”
The talent portion of the evening is open to all students, but will
require an audition on April 8. Interested students can email Gonzalez
