Students, parents and loved ones filled the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday to honor some of the hard working students who have gone above and beyond basic classroom requirements.
The Film, Television and Media Department held its annual MC Awards at Moorpark College to acknowledge and honor its students.
Some of the biggest awards of the night were awarded by special guests such as Tom Davis and Kevin Patrick Dobson.
The Spirit Award, which recognizes leadership, teamwork and creativity in Film, Television and Media was presented to Christina Regun, who will graduate this semester with five Associates Degrees including her FTVM Degree along with her major in anthropology.
Filled with tears of joy, Regun was surrounded with friends and family congratulating her on a well-deserved award.
“This is the big award,” said Regun. “It’s the one in the past where everybody knew who was going to get it, so the fact that everybody thought I deserved this, it really means a lot that my teachers and classmates voted for this.”
