A five-day workshop for aspiring law students is being held in August at Moorpark College.

The Pre-Law Institute will be facilitated by College President Luis Sanchez, who has a background in law, and will have guest speakers inform students about law before spending $200,000 on a degree in that field, according to the College Axis.

“I hope students take from this seminar is a realistic view of what law school is like, as well as to have a better understanding of how to choose a law school, how to apply, what costs to anticipate, the LSAT, law careers, the study of law and the Bar Exam,” said Sanchez.

The Institute will cost $500, with a net proceeds supporting the college’s Foundation, and will be held August 1 to 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch being provided each day.

Seating is limited to the first 30 students and to register contact Tracy Stewart at (805) 553-4761 or [email protected]
