Associated Students are putting on a Valentine’s Day movie night Feb. 15.
The 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. event in the upper quad will feature lawn games, free photos in a professional photo booth and wrap up with a screening of La La Land as well as free pizza with a Moorpark College ID.
“ID cards have a ton of benefits,” said Emily Kamal, Director of Public Relations for Associated student. “They have discounts at local businesses and on campus.”
This movie night is part of creating more activities on campus. The Halloween movie night saw a significant turnout and success, the Associated students hope this will be as well and bolster the community that is Moorpark College.
“We want to give students something to look forward to on campus, the school is a community,” said Kamal.
The lawn games being featured are part of another initiative from the Associated students, where giant chess and checker boards are being placed in the quad for students to enjoy between classes.
The movie night will be moved to the cafeteria if inclement weather. For more information visit the Moorpark College Website event calendar, or stop by the Associated Students office in the Student Center on campus.
