‘Motion Flux,’ a show that involves a variety of themes, music styles and dance genres including ballet, modern and jazz will be presented by the Moorpark College Dance department from April 19 to 22.
This show has about 12 dances which are either choreographed by students or faculty. Beth Megill, director of Motion Flux, encourages everyone to come watch this performance.
“This show has a lot of variety that you don’t want to miss,” said Megill. “It is very much about personal expression and about the choreographer’s unique vision.”
For students looking for rhythmic entertainment, the performance offers an opportunity to enjoy just that while supporting Moorpark College peers. Dani Carrion, a dancer in Motion Flux, thinks that people should attend this performance and noted how hard the dancers have been working for the past three months.
“There are so many different dances and they all have a different story,” said Carrion. “We have been rehearsing every Friday since the beginning of semester, so we would love the support of people to come watch us.”
The show dates are April 19, 20, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. in the Moorpark Performing Arts Center. Tickets for Motion Flux are available at the box office at Moorpark College, and prices for admission are $15 for adults and students, seniors and children are $10.
Tickets are also available to purchase online for a discounted rate at http://www.moorparkcollege.edu/departments/academic/theatre-arts/performing-arts-center.
